Hola Mexziners,
I'm Bárbara Terán, and I'm taking over today's Mexzine to share my favorite independent boutiques in the place I call home, Mexico City. I'm the Editor-in-Chief of Style Hunter, the fashion and lifestyle title from Design Hunter, and before that I was Deputy Editor at Vogue México. In short, I've spent my career finding the shops and brands worth knowing about.
In every place I visit, I find it essential to discover local design stores, whether it’s clothing, accessories, crafts, or creative concepts that reflect the destination’s identity. Traveling also means taking a piece of a place’s culture with me – something that makes the experience more authentic and turns each item into a unique reminder of that place.
While Mexico City’s vastness makes exploring the entire metropolis a challenge, I’ve prepared a selection of stores, organized by neighborhood, where you can find Mexican design and concepts from across Latin America.
Enjoy!
