Mexzine is a twice-weekly newsletter devoted to Mexico travel — built entirely around independent, non-commercialized finds across the country. No cookie-cutter mega-resorts with colossal water parks. No Hard Rock Cafes or Señor Frogs (while there’s nothing wrong with these spots, they just aren’t our vibe).
Publisher Brandon Berkson, who also founded travel media brand Hotels Above Par, has been to Mexico more times than he can count. From dinners in Tijuana to art escapades in Puebla to a multi-month stint in CDMX, he considers Mexico to be his happy place.
Acting as the managing editor is Mexico City native and lauded journalist Cristina Alonso. Her bylines range from T Magazine Mexico to Departures International, where she has written a wealth of articles on design, culture, and travel within the country. She is a true pundit on all things Mexico.
